Giveaway: Green People’s Scent Free Baby Range

25 Jun

Here it is – the giveaway! Short and sweet: remember the Green People’s toothpaste (which btw I LOVE so much I’m never ever changing)? Well, they’ve decided to donate a couple of products from their Organic and Scent Free Baby range. Don’t tell anyone but you don’t really need a baby in order to use the baby products – I totally use them too!

So the Baby Oil and Baby Wash&Shampoo it is and if you comment below to let us know you want it you automatically enter the contest. Now, if you share it via any kind of social media like Facebook and Twitter you get an extra point. And if you decide to start following the Green People you also get a big loud cheer and another point – but make sure to let me know about the last two, will you?

Like usually, I’ll give you a week – so until Monday, 2nd July.
And only opened to EU this time.

This contest is now closed! The winner is…drum roll please…Marianne K! Congratulations!

See you in a Week!

25 Jun

So my dears, I’ve decided to take a week of network-free vacation. Which also means no blogging.
We’re heading up to a gorgeous part of Slovenia called Jezersko, located in the hills so we can enjoy some fresh air, run barefoot without worrying about the traffic, hike, ride horses, admire and even pet some farm animals. We’re staying at Makek organic tourist farm which also means super healthy, homemade food mostly made of their own home grown products (or from gardens of other local farms) and without any kind of industrial substitutes. Yuuum!

This is one vacation I am super excited about. I cannot wait to go back a few decades and see my daughter run and jump around the hills, get extremely loud, dirty and unimaginably happy! So my dears, I’ll see you next week but don’t worry I didn’t forget about you – there’s a new post coming up in a few hours and yes, you guessed it; it’s give-away time!

Yodel-ay, yodel-ay, yodel-ay hee hoo from the top of the hill!

Beatrice Valenzuela Shoes

21 Jun

Seriously? Nooo! Come ooon! Seriously? These shoes are completely outrageous and I so want at least a pair for me and at least two for Tila. Ok, they can’t really brag with the lowest prices but “completely made by hand” means something nowadays, doesn’t it?
Beatrice, born and raised in Mexico City draw inspiration from ancient footwear and traditional styles of her native country. And like I mentioned before – each and every pair of Beatrice Valenzuela’s are made by artisans in Mexico City!
I honestly don’t know when was the last time I liked shoes as much as these – and believe me when I say I’m one very picky shoe shopper! But these… I am completely in love!

Women’s shoes cost from $190 – $200 (about €150 – €155) and kid’s between $105 and $135 (€80 – €105) and shipping to Europe goes from $35 (€27)

Wild Things Dresses

19 Jun

When Tila unwrapped the package she got from sweet Kirsty from Wild Things boutique on Etsy a lot of squeaking, squealing, super loud screaming and a whole daylong ear-to-ear smiling along with some meowing were involved. My little girl really loves to role play but this is her first dress of that kind so you can only imagine her excitement when I offered to paint her the cat nose and the whiskers to go with her cute new cat dress.

So from the bottom of my heart thank you for this gorgeous gift Kirsty you made one little girl extremely happy and we will definitely get a few more – Tila needs the Fox, the Badger, the Bee, the Owl…oh who am I kidding WE want them all – yes, papa bear loves them too! And how adorable are the Rainbow and the Kite dresses? And daddy is seriously loving the rompers but don’t tell him I told you!

Kirsty, a mom of three, is making everything by herself in her home studio based in England. Each piece is made by order and available in sizes between 6 months and 5 years. How adorable is her whole collection? No wonder her boutique was picked as one of the TOP 50 Etsy baby shops!

Sale over at Sienna Loves Kai!

18 Jun

Have you noticed our newest sponsor? I’m so happy Sienna Loves Kai decided to join my lovely team of sponsors. I know and love this boutique for quite some time and right now they’re having a big sale in order to make some room by next months when fresh new brands like ESP no.1, Nico Nico and Atsuyo et Akiko (just to name a few) are going to fill up their virtual shelves.
But no worries, I’ll make sure to let you know when it’s time for you to check and see what I’m talking about. For now take a look at their lovely range at even lovelier prices – some reduced for even more than 50%! Now ruuun before it’s too late!

Mayi Carles Printables

15 Jun

Oh my dearest of the dear you need to see this! I found this site via Le Little Blog and I was instantly smitten! Maria Alejandra Carles aka. Mayi is the name behind the brand and her magic fingers are responsible for the cutest sets of printable gift tags, invitations and to-do bookmark notes I’ve seen! Ever!
Sets cost either $5 or $10 (€4/€8) and after your purchase you receive a pdf file of the set which you can then print as many times as you want.

You should also take a peek at her most adorable collection of hair accessories, cupcake toppers and the genius DIY headband kits.
I don’t know where to start clicking (i.e. shopping)…

Btw. Is her site super sweet or what?

Old-School Wooden Swing

14 Jun

How cool is this wooden swing? I adore the plain, vintage look – reminds me of my childhood.

Available via The Wooden Horse boutique on Etsy for about €40 including shipping within EU

Dandelion

13 Jun

How unbelievably cute are these baby toys from (to me before unknown brand) Dandelion? Not only that, they use eco-friendly materials like organic fabrics, corn fiber stuffing, corn plastics and recycled materials.

Finally the oh-so popular plastic teething keys made of cornstarch – which means no BPA, Phthalates and PVC of course! Same goes for their tableware made from recycled milk jugs. And the gorgeous hand crocheted rattles are made of pesticide free bamboo rayon thread and stuffed with corn fiber filling. Über cool!

Alex and Alexa has a very nice selection of their products but be warned before you look – prices are pretty kind so you might end up with quite a few of Dandelion products in your shopping cart.

Pippo Sneakers

12 Jun

I’m a big sneaker girl. I wear either sneakers or high heels – not a lot room for in-betweens. Maybe only one pair of flip-flops and one pair of ballerinas for the summer.
And Tila is the same – she loves to wear sneakers, more than sandals. She’s actually more of a sneaker or barefoot kind of girl. So I’m always on the lookout for cool new pairs but besides the look they also need to be nothing less than high quality. We have mostly trusted Pom d’Api until now but knowing that Pippo was actually established by two parents that wanted to design the “perfect” footwear for their daughter and after hearing some great reviews I decided we definitely need to make room for a pair of Pippo’s!

Another big plus are their (very reasonable) prices: Pippo shoes cost from £28 (€34) to £40 (€49) and if you’re lucky enough to be from UK you also get free next day delivery. They send to rest of the Europe as well but you need to contact them in order to get your quote

Suvi Ainoa

11 Jun

I spotted this brand via Kenziepoo a while ago and just can’t stop checking it out ever since. Seriously – how gorgeous are their designs? There are quite a few things I want in my size like the fringe vest or this blazer
I had such hard time picking only a few images for this post, you need too see the whole collection! You will be awed, I promise!

Shipping to Europe costs between $10 and $20 (€8 – €16) depending on the size of you purchase. And if you get carried away a bit (which could happen really easy) and spend more than $400 (€315) they’ll treat you with free P&P!

Btw. how drop dead gorgeous is the little boy on the picture? Can I reserve him for Tila?

Sunuva UV Sun Protective Swimwear

6 Jun

People from Sunuva emailed me because they thought I might like their collection but they were wrong! I absolutely adore it! Their UV sun-protective range of swimwear and beachwear is one of the most beautiful of its kind! All their swimsuits and rash vests are made of fabric providing 50+ UPF which blocks 98% of the harmful UV radiation and it’s the highest possible rating! And not only that, their whole collection is also very stylish including the rest of the (non UV protective) collection -  see for yourself!

Availalable to buy through their own site and they ship to UK for £5.05 and to rest of the Europe for £10.99 which is about €13.50

Mandarin Toothpaste from Green People

5 Jun

This toothpaste from Green People came in the mail for Tila about two weeks ago and we absolutely love it! She’s crazy about the sweet mandarin taste and I love the fact it’s completely natural and made of organic ingredients, without any kind of chemicals like fluoride, phthalates, sorbitol and other unknown nasties. There’s also no artificial sweeteners, colourants or other awful stuff that most of other baby and children’s toothpastes have.

So there’s no need to rinse either, as it’s completely safe to swallow! As a matter of fact the newest research show that it’s better not to rinse as this will only prolong the effect of the toothpaste.

Another thing I love is that the tube contains 50g of toothpaste and you truly only need to use a tiny bit as it foams and spreads perfectly! There’s also the Spearmint & Aloe Vera taste and both can be used with babies and children. Love! And I’m so getting one for me and the papa too!

You can get it from Green People for £3.50 (about €4) plus shipping to UK £3 or free if it’s your first order and £7 (€8.50) for the rest of the EU
